1.Google Self-Driving Car

There were 2.24 million injuries due to motor vehicle accidents in the United States in 2010, with human error largely to blame. Alcohol, distracted driving (texting/eating/talking), and driver decision error (speeding/driving aggressively/misjudgment of road conditions) account for over 85% of all accidents. A total of35,332 lives were lost that year due to motor vehicle accidents, which is more than triple the amount of people lost to homicide involving a firearm. Google is hoping to make the streets a bit safer by introducing a car that can drive by itself. Initially, 100 prototype subcompact vehicles will be released and they could be ready to hit the road in less than a year.

The vehicle looks very similar to two-passenger subcompact “smart cars” currently on the market, but there are some distinct noticeable differences: no steering wheel or pedals to accelerate/decelerate. Human drivers actually play a very small role in operating the vehicle. To operate the car, the passenger merely presses a button to start the car and then inputs the destination into the car’s computer that utilizes Google Maps. The car does the rest. However, there is an emergency break available, to be used if necessary.

2.Google Glass

Google Glass is a brand of smart glasses—anoptical head-mounted display designed in the shape of a pair of eyeglasses. It was developed by X (previously Google X) with the mission of producing a ubiquitous computer.Google Glass displayed information in a smartphone-like, hands-free format. Wearers communicated with the Internet via natural language voice commands

3.Leap motion

Multi-touch desktop is a (miserably) failed product due to the fact that hands could get very tired with prolonged use, but Leap Motion wants to challenge this dark area again with a more advanced idea. It lets you control the desktop with fingers, but without touching the screen.

Leap Motion presents an entirely new way to interact with your computers. Put simply, Leap Motion is more accurate than a mouse, as reliable as a keyboard and more sensitive than a touchscreen. For the first time, you can control a computer in three dimensions with your natural hand and finger movements.

It’s not your typical motion sensor, as Leap Motion allows you to scroll the web page, zoom in the map and photos, sign documents and even play a first person shooter game with only hand and finger movements. If this device could completely work with Oculus Rift to simulate a real-time gaming experience, gaming is going to get a major make-over.

4.AI

Artificial Intelligence has been continuing to make its place in the list of top technology trends since quite some years. And now has found a place in 2020 technology predictions as well.

Computers are now capable of learning about the world in the same way as us humans. This leap that AIcapabilities have been possible because of the enormous increase in computing power and data. It’s this phenomenal explosion in data, which has enabled AI to advance at a lightning speed since the past couple of years; greater the data an AI has, the faster it would be able to learn and more precise it becomes.

The speed at which AI is growing will prepare it to undertake more human tasks by 2020.

5.Voice
The future of technologies in 2020 will remain incomplete without Voice. The time when the only relation between voice and technology used to be when we used to talk on our mobile devices is long gone.
